About Scrappd
What is Scrappd?
An app for your scrapbooks, junk journals and albums. You scan your books page by page with your phone, they go on your shelf, and you can leaf through other people's books.
When is Scrappd coming out?
We're letting scrappers in a few at a time. Join the waiting list and we'll email you as soon as it's your turn.
Does it work on Android too?
Yes. Scrappd is coming to iPhone and Android. You don't need a computer or a scanner, just your phone.
How much will Scrappd cost?
Getting started will be free, with two books. For more books there will be a paid subscription, Scrappd Plus. We'll share the exact price before the app comes out.
Scanning
Do I have to take my scrapbook apart?
No. You photograph the book as it lies open. Scrappd crops the pages and straightens them.
What about pages with flaps or pockets?
Photograph the page as it is, then take a second photo with the flap open. Both go into your book.
How do I get a good photo?
Daylight from the side, no lamp overhead, and your phone straight above the page. Also read how to photograph a page without glare.
Privacy
Is everything I scan private?
Yes. A new book is always private: only you can see it. If you want to show it, you choose for each book whether to share it with your followers or with everyone.
A private book doesn't appear anywhere: not to others, not in search results and not through a link.
Where are my photos stored?
On servers in the European Union.
Does Scrappd train AI on my pages?
No. We don't train AI on your photos and we don't sell anything on. Your pages are yours.
What happens to my books if I stop?
You can always download all your books. If you delete your account, we erase everything.
